It runs off a power bank
USB, not mains. That is the difference between a heated blanket you use on the sofa and one you take to a football match, a campsite or a cold office. Any 5V/2A power bank will run it.
Eight zones, three settings
Heating panels across the front and the back, and low, medium or high — roughly 40, 50 and 60 °C. Low is the one you leave on; high is for the first five minutes.

Three steps, and start on low

    Over the shoulders like a shawl, zip up the front and close the snaps. Or lay it flat across your lap — both work.

    Plug the USB lead in

    Into a power bank in your pocket, a wall adapter or a laptop. 5V/2A or higher, or it will heat slowly or not at all.

  3. 3

    Hold the button, then cycle

    Press and hold to switch on, press again to step through low, medium and high. Start low and stay there unless you are actually cold.

Is a power bank included?

No. It runs from any USB power bank, wall adapter or laptop port that gives 5V/2A. If you plan to use it away from a socket, a 10,000 mAh power bank is a sensible size for an evening.

How warm does it get?

Roughly 40 °C on low, 50 on medium, 60 on high, at the panels. Low is the setting most people live on — it is warm rather than hot, and it is the one you can leave on for a whole film.

How long does a power bank last?

That depends on the bank and the setting, so we will not give one number. On low, a 10,000 mAh bank gives you several hours; on high, considerably less.

Can I wash it?

Unplug the lead, then follow the care label in the blanket. Wet or damp fabric must be completely dry before it is switched on again.

Is this a medical device?

No. It is a warm blanket with a USB heater in it. It does not treat any condition, and it is not a heat-therapy device.
