WHY THIS ONE

Four things a fixed gripper cannot do

Fixed grippers come in strengths, which means buying another one every time you get stronger. This one covers the whole range in a single tool.

A dial instead of a drawer full
10 to 100 kg from one knob. Everyone in the house uses the same gripper, and getting stronger costs nothing.
A counter that keeps count
A 4-digit display with one-button reset. Grip work is repetitive enough that people lose count constantly, and a number on the handle fixes it.
A D-shape that fits the hand
Ergonomic rather than two straight bars, so the load spreads across the palm instead of pressing into two lines.
A ribbed handle and a rubber loop
Grip where your fingers sit and a coated loop for the other side, because a metal-on-skin gripper stops being usable at the top of the range.

HOW TO USE IT

Dial in your resistance

  1. 1

    Set the dial low first

Start well below what you think you can do. A gripper feels easy for two repetitions and very different by the tenth.

  2. 2

    Position it across the palm

Handle across the palm with fingers over the bar, not in the fingertips. Fingertip gripping is how people get sore joints instead of stronger hands.

  3. 3

    Squeeze, hold, release slowly

Close it, pause at the bottom, and let it open under control. Reset the counter with the button when you start a new set.

Start lower than you expect. The last three repetitions of a set should be hard, not the first three.

IN USE

Where it earns its place

At a desk
A minute between tasks, which is where most of the repetitions happen.
On the sofa
Quiet enough not to annoy anyone in the room.
Before lifting
A few squeezes as a warm-up before anything that needs grip.
In a bag
17 cm long and about the thickness of a phone.

Before you use it

  • Keep fingers clear of the spring as it closes.
  • Set the dial down before you hand it to somebody else. A gripper left at 80 kg is unpleasant for the next person.
  • Build up gradually. Hand and forearm tendons are slow to recover and easy to overdo in the first week.
  • Stop if you feel joint pain, tingling or numbness rather than muscle effort.
  • Anyone with arthritis, a hand or wrist injury, or carpal tunnel syndrome should ask a healthcare professional before starting grip training.

This is fitness equipment, not a medical device. It does not treat arthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome or any diagnosed condition of the hand. Pain that persists should be looked at by a healthcare professional.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Questions people ask

Is the 10 to 100 kg range accurate?

It is the manufacturer's scale, printed on the dial, and it is a relative range rather than a calibrated measurement. The top of the range is genuinely hard β€” most people work in the bottom third for a long time.

Do I get one or two?

One. The photographs show the single-gripper option, which is what this listing is. Order two if you want to train both hands at once.

Does the counter need a battery?

There is a small cell in the display. The manufacturer does not publish the type, so message us before ordering if you want that confirmed with the supplier.

How is this different from the spring gripper you sell?

That one is a simple fixed spring with sponge handles β€” cheap, silent and unbreakable. This one adjusts across the whole range and counts for you. Pick that for a pocket, this for actually training grip strength.

Will it help with hand rehabilitation?

The supplier description calls it a rehabilitation device and we are not going to repeat that. It is a fitness gripper. If you have been given hand exercises after an injury, ask the clinician who gave them whether this fits.

How does the multi-buy discount work?

It comes off on its own at checkout, with no code to type. Two items anywhere in your basket take 10% off, three take 15%, four take 20%. They do not have to be the same product.

When will it arrive?

Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days and usually arrive within 7–12 business days after that; tracking is emailed as soon as the parcel leaves. If it is not for you, unused items can be returned within 30 days β€” email us first for the return address.
