WHY THIS ONE

Four reasons the ring is the piece people keep using

Most home equipment gets used twice. A Pilates ring survives because it gives resistance without weight, and because it fits behind a door.

Resistance without weight
You provide the force and the ring pushes back. Nothing to load, nothing to drop, and the intensity is whatever you decide it is on the day.
Pads on both sides
Curved pads inside and outside the ring, so it works squeezed between the knees or pressed between the palms without digging in either way.
A textured surface
Ribbed rather than smooth, which matters when hands are damp and the alternative is the ring skidding out of your grip mid-rep.
It stores itself
A flat ring about the size of a dinner plate. Behind a door, under a sofa, into a bag β€” which is most of why it stays in use.

HOW TO USE IT

Press with control, release slowly

  1. 1

Check the ring before you start

Look over the ring and both pads for cracks or splits. Do not use damaged equipment β€” a ring under load is storing energy.

  2. 2

    Press with control

Between the knees lying down, or between the palms sitting up. Squeeze steadily to about half its give, hold for a breath, and stop before it feels forced.

  3. 3

    Release slowly

The slow return is the half of the movement people skip, and it is where most of the work happens. Ten to fifteen controlled reps is a set.

Ten to fifteen controlled repetitions beats thirty rushed ones. If you cannot control the release, ease off the squeeze.

IN USE

Where it earns its place

On a mat at home
Between the knees for inner thigh work, which is the classic use.
Sitting at a chair
Between the palms for arms and chest, without getting on the floor at all.
Alongside a class
The same tool a studio hands out, so home practice matches what you learned.
Within reach
Light enough to leave beside the sofa, which is why it gets picked up.

Before you use it

  • Inspect the ring and both pads before every session and stop using it if you find a crack or a split.
  • Squeeze with steady pressure rather than sudden force, and never compress it past the point where it feels forced.
  • Keep the ring away from your face and neck when it is under pressure.
  • Do not use it as a step, a support to lean on, or anything that puts your body weight through it.
  • Stop if a movement causes sharp pain rather than muscle effort. Anyone pregnant, recently post-natal or with a knee, hip or wrist condition should check with a healthcare professional first.

This is fitness equipment, not a medical device, and it does not treat any condition. If you are pregnant, recently post-natal, or have a knee, hip or wrist problem, speak to a healthcare professional before using it.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Questions people ask

Is this hard enough for someone who trains?

The resistance is fixed and it is a moderate ring rather than a heavy one. What makes it harder is tempo and hold time rather than the ring itself. Someone who lifts weights will use it for control work, not for loading.

Which colour should I pick?

They are identical apart from the colour β€” sakura pink or hibiscus purple. Nothing about the resistance changes.

Does it help with pelvic floor training?

You will see that claim on the manufacturer photos, and we are not going to repeat it. A ring squeezed between the knees works the inner thigh muscles. Pelvic floor training is its own thing and worth learning properly from a professional.

Can I use it standing up?

Yes β€” between the palms overhead or at chest height, and between the ankles is possible but harder to control. Start seated or lying down until the movement is familiar.

Is it in the Pilates kit you also sell?

Yes. The multi-piece set includes a ring along with loops, a strap and other pieces. Buy this listing if the ring is all you want.

How does the multi-buy discount work?

It comes off on its own at checkout, with no code to type. Two items anywhere in your basket take 10% off, three take 15%, four take 20%. They do not have to be the same product.

When will it arrive?

Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days and usually arrive within 7–12 business days after that; tracking is emailed as soon as the parcel leaves. If it is not for you, unused items can be returned within 30 days β€” email us first for the return address.
