WHY THIS ONE

Four reasons the shape does the work

A straight band needs anchoring or wrapping. A figure-8 gives you two fixed handles and a middle that stays put, which removes most of the fiddling.

Two handles, always in the right place
The moulded centre keeps the loops apart, so you grab it and go rather than gathering rubber in your fists.
Foam over both grips
Soft covers on the two ends, because a bare TPR loop cuts into the fingers by the fifteenth repetition.
Pull it in any direction
In front of the chest, overhead, behind the back, or with a foot through one loop for the legs. One shape, most of an upper-body session.
It fits in a pocket
Small enough to live in a desk drawer or a handbag, which is the honest reason a band like this gets used and a heavier set does not.

HOW TO USE IT

Three steps, and control the return

  1. 1

Check the band before you start

Look over the whole loop for nicks, splits or a stretched section, and do not use a damaged band.

  2. 2

Take a grip in each hand

Palms in the foam, band across the chest or overhead. Start with your arms already under a little tension rather than slack.

  3. 3

    Pull slowly, return slower

Open to a comfortable range, hold for a breath, and let it come back under control. Never let a stretched band snap closed.

The slow return is where most of the work is. If you cannot control it, you have opened it too far.

IN USE

Where it earns its place

At a desk
Two minutes between tasks, quietly, without leaving the chair.
As a warm-up
Shoulders and upper back before anything heavier.
On a mat at home
Chest and arm work in whatever floor space you have.
In a bag
It weighs nothing and there is nothing on it to break.

Before you use it

  • Inspect the band before every session. A nick in the material is where it will eventually fail.
  • Never stretch it towards your face, and never let it snap back β€” return it under control.
  • Do not stretch it far beyond about twice its resting length.
  • Keep it away from heat, sunlight and sharp edges, which is what makes TPR perish.
  • Stop if a movement causes sharp pain in a shoulder, elbow or wrist rather than muscle effort.

This is fitness equipment, not a medical device, and it does not treat any condition. If you have a shoulder, elbow or wrist problem, speak to a healthcare professional before starting resistance work.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Questions people ask

How strong is it?

Light. This is a warm-up and beginner band, not a strength tool β€” the manufacturer does not publish a pound rating and we are not going to invent one. If you want graded resistance, the fabric loop set or the sit-up trainer is the better buy.

Which colour should I pick?

Blue and pink are the plain figure-8; the third option has black grips on a pink band. The resistance is the same across all three.

Will it help with posture?

It works the muscles across the upper back and shoulders, which people often want for that reason. Whether posture changes depends on the rest of your day, and we are not going to promise more than the exercise itself.

Is it suitable for older users or children?

The manufacturer lists it for seniors, adults and children, and the light resistance makes that reasonable. An adult should supervise a child, and nobody should stretch it towards a face.

How long does it last?

TPR is a consumable. Kept out of sunlight and heat it lasts a long time; left on a windowsill it will go cloudy and brittle within months.

How does the multi-buy discount work?

It comes off on its own at checkout, with no code to type. Two items anywhere in your basket take 10% off, three take 15%, four take 20%. They do not have to be the same product.

When will it arrive?

Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days and usually arrive within 7–12 business days after that; tracking is emailed as soon as the parcel leaves. If it is not for you, unused items can be returned within 30 days β€” email us first for the return address.
