WHY THIS ONE

Four reasons this is not a smaller hand gripper

A squeeze gripper trains closing the hand. This trains opening it. They work opposite muscles, and most people only ever do the first one.

It works the opening movement
Fingers spread outwards against the silicone. That is the movement almost nothing else in a gym trains, and it is the one that gets neglected in hands that grip all day.
One piece, nothing to break
Moulded silicone with no springs, hinges or metal. Nothing to pinch a finger and nothing that rusts in a gym bag.
A wrist loop that anchors it
The ring sits around the wrist so the trainer stays with your hand rather than flying across the room when you release.
Quiet enough for anywhere
No click, no rattle. This is the piece of training equipment you can use at a desk, on a train, or in front of the television without anyone noticing.

HOW TO USE IT

Set up. Move. Relax.

  1. 1

    Find the wrist loop

The large ring goes around your wrist first. That is what holds the trainer in place while your fingers work.

  2. 2

Fit your fingers into the four loops

One finger per loop, sitting at the first knuckle rather than jammed to the base. Comfortable is correct.

  3. 3

    Spread slowly, then relax

Open the fingers against the resistance, hold for a breath, and let them close under control. Use a comfortable range and stop if you feel discomfort.

A comfortable range beats a big one. Stop if discomfort occurs rather than pushing through it.

IN USE

Where it earns its place

At the desk
A minute between emails, for hands that have been typing since morning.
After climbing or lifting
To balance out a session that was all gripping.
In front of the television
Which is realistically where most repetitions get done.
In a pocket or bag
It weighs nothing and there is nothing to protect.

Before you use it

  • Check it for tears or splits before every session and do not use a damaged trainer.
  • Work within a comfortable range. Forcing the fingers wider than they want to go is how people hurt small joints.
  • Stop if you feel joint pain, tingling or numbness rather than muscle effort.
  • Anyone with arthritis, a hand injury, or a diagnosed condition of the hands or wrists should ask a healthcare professional before starting hand training.
  • Keep it away from children β€” the loops are a choking and finger-trapping risk.

This is an exercise tool, not a medical device. It does not treat arthritis, tendon problems or any diagnosed condition of the hand. Hand pain that persists, or stiffness that is getting worse, belongs with a healthcare professional.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Questions people ask

How is this different from the spring hand grip you sell?

Opposite movements. The spring gripper trains closing the hand against resistance. This trains opening it. If your hands spend the day gripping β€” keyboard, tools, climbing β€” this is the one that is missing.

How much resistance is it?

This listing is a single resistance level. The manufacturer makes the same trainer in lighter and firmer versions, and the one we stock is the standard level. Message us if you need something specific and we will ask the supplier what is available.

Will it help with arthritis or hand pain?

We are not going to say that. It is a hand exercise tool, and hand exercises are something a physiotherapist or hand therapist prescribes properly for a diagnosed condition. If you have been given hand exercises, ask them whether this fits.

Does it fit large hands?

The finger openings are about 2 cm and the silicone stretches. Most adult hands fit comfortably. If your fingers are unusually large, the loops will feel tight at the base rather than at the first knuckle.

How do I clean it?

Rinse with water and let it dry fully before you put it away. Nothing else is needed and nothing harsher is a good idea on silicone.

How does the multi-buy discount work?

It comes off on its own at checkout, with no code to type. Two items anywhere in your basket take 10% off, three take 15%, four take 20%. They do not have to be the same product.

When will it arrive?

Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days and usually arrive within 7–12 business days after that; tracking is emailed as soon as the parcel leaves. If it is not for you, unused items can be returned within 30 days β€” email us first for the return address.
