WHY THIS ONE

Four reasons a brace gets worn rather than abandoned

Almost everyone who buys a posture brace stops using it within a fortnight. The reasons are always the same β€” too rigid, too visible, too tight on day one.

A reminder, not a cast
It holds the shoulders back gently enough that you can still work in it. A brace that forces you upright gets taken off within the hour, which is why the rigid ones end up unused.
Thin enough to go under a shirt
Flat neoprene straps and a light padded back panel, so it disappears under most work clothing. That is what decides whether you wear it on the days you are around other people.
Adjusts as you get used to it
Set it loose for the first week and take it in as your shoulders stop objecting. Starting at the tightest setting is the most common way to end up not wearing one at all.
Folds into its pouch
Fabric and straps, nothing rigid, so it packs flat into the bag it comes with. Useful, because the desk that causes the problem is often not the one at home.

HOW TO WEAR IT

Three steps, and start loose

  1. 1

Put it on like a backpack

One arm through each loop, with the padded panel flat between the shoulder blades. Twisted straps are the usual reason a brace digs into an armpit, so run a hand along each one before you tighten.

  2. 2

    Take up the slack gently

Pull the adjusters until you feel your shoulders drawn back, then stop. It should feel like a hand between your shoulder blades, not like being pulled backwards.

  3. 3

    Twenty minutes, then build up

The manufacturer suggests 15–25 minutes a day to start, adding about 20 minutes a day from there. Muscles that have been slouching for years get tired quickly when something asks them to work.

Wearing it longer is not the same as making faster progress. Short daily sessions and some time without it is what actually builds the strength.

IN USE

Where it earns its place

At a desk
The hours where a screen slowly pulls your head forward without you noticing.
Studying
Long stretches over a book or a laptop at a table that was never the right height.
Driving a long way
Worn under a jacket for the stretch of motorway that always ends in a stiff neck.
Around the house
Light jobs where you would otherwise spend an hour bent over something.

Before you use it

  • Start with short sessions. Fifteen to twenty-five minutes on the first day, building up gradually, is the pattern the manufacturer suggests and the one that works.
  • Do not overtighten. If your hands tingle, your arms go numb or the straps leave deep marks, it is too tight β€” that is circulation, not progress.
  • Do not wear it all day. Relying on a brace lets the muscles that hold you upright do less, which is the opposite of the point.
  • Take it off to sleep and to exercise.
  • If you have a shoulder injury, a disc problem, osteoporosis or a recent fracture, ask a healthcare professional before wearing one.

This is a comfort product, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition, and it does not correct a structural problem with your spine. Back or neck pain that persists, or that runs down an arm, is worth taking to a healthcare professional.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Questions people ask

Will it fix my posture?

On its own, no β€” and any product that says otherwise is overselling. It holds you in a better position and reminds you when you drift out of it. What actually changes posture is the strength you build while you are not wearing it, so treat this as a prompt rather than a cure β€” which is how the manufacturer describes it too.

How long should I wear it each day?

Fifteen to twenty-five minutes at first, working up to an hour or two split across the day. All-day wear is not the goal; the muscles need to do the job themselves for most of the time.

Does it show under a shirt?

Under a normal work shirt or a jumper, the straps are hard to see. Under something thin and close-fitting, you will see the outline across the back.

What size is it?

One adjustable size, rated by the manufacturer for roughly 28 to 36 inches (71–91 cm) around the chest under the arms. Outside that range it will either not close or not tighten enough β€” message us if you are near either end.

Can I wash it?

Hand wash cool, press the water out and air dry away from heat. Skip the machine and the dryer β€” heat is what kills neoprene.

How does the multi-buy discount work?

It comes off on its own at checkout, with no code. Two items anywhere in your basket take 10% off, three take 15%, four take 20%. They do not have to be the same product β€” Shopify applies the best single tier.

When will it arrive?

Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days and usually arrive within 7–12 business days after that; tracking is emailed as soon as the parcel leaves. If it is not for you, unused items can be returned within 30 days β€” email us first for the return address.
