WHY THIS ONE

Four things worth knowing before it takes up floor space

An exercise bike is the largest thing in this range and the one most likely to become a clothes rail. These are the details that decide which way it goes.

A belt, not a chain
Belt drive runs quietly and needs no oiling. On a chain bike the noise is what stops you riding early in the morning in a shared building.
Resistance on a dial
A felt pad presses the flywheel, and the red knob sets how hard. Infinite adjustment rather than eight fixed levels, and the same knob is the emergency brake.
A seat that moves
Height and position both adjust, which is what decides whether a bike fits one person or everyone in the house.
A steel frame with stabilisers
Sprayed steel tube on wide feet, rated by the manufacturer to 120 kg. Weight in the base is what stops a bike walking across the floor when you stand up on the pedals.

HOW TO USE IT

Three steps, and set the seat first

  1. 1

Assemble it on a flat floor

Follow the supplied instructions and tighten every bolt before the first ride. Leave the wrapping under it while you work.

  2. 2

Set the seat before you ride

Seat height so your leg is nearly straight at the bottom of the pedal stroke, with a slight bend. This is the single adjustment that decides whether your knees enjoy this.

  3. 3

    Start on light resistance

Turn the dial up gradually as you warm up. Pushing the knob straight down is the brake β€” worth knowing before you need it.

The assembly instructions supplied with the bike are the authority. Where they differ from anything here, follow them.

IN USE

Where it earns its place

A corner of the living room
The main use, and the reason a quiet belt drive matters.
Early mornings
Before anyone else is up, which a chain-driven bike makes impossible.
Bad weather
The days a planned run does not happen.
Steady sessions
Longer, easier rides rather than sprint intervals β€” that is what a 4 kg flywheel suits.

Before you use it

  • Assemble it fully and check every bolt before the first ride, then check them again after a few sessions.
  • Set the seat height before you ride. Riding with the seat too low is the fastest way to make your knees hate an exercise bike.
  • Know where the brake is β€” pressing the resistance knob down stops the flywheel. A 4 kg flywheel keeps spinning after you stop pedalling.
  • Keep children and pets away from the moving flywheel and pedals, and never leave a child unsupervised near it.
  • If you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, or you are returning to exercise after a long break, talk to a healthcare professional before starting.

This is exercise equipment, not a medical device. If you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, joint problems, or you are pregnant, talk to a healthcare professional before starting a cycling programme.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Questions people ask

Does it have a display?

The manufacturer lists a monitor showing time, speed, distance and calories, and offers the bike in versions with and without heart rate. Our listing photos show the handlebar bracket rather than the console, so we are not going to promise a specific display. Message us before ordering if that decides it for you and we will confirm with the supplier.

How quiet is it really?

Belt drive is the quiet kind β€” a low hum rather than the rattle of a chain. It is quiet enough for a flat with somebody asleep in the next room; it is not silent, because a 21 kg machine with a 4 kg flywheel never is.

Does it come assembled?

Part-assembled. The frame arrives together and you fit the seat, handlebars and pedals with the supplied tools. Set aside half an hour and a second pair of hands for lifting it upright.

Is a 4 kg flywheel enough?

For steady riding and general fitness, yes. Heavier flywheels give a smoother feel at high cadence, which is what commercial spin bikes are built for. This is a home bike and it rides like one.

How much room does it need?

About 101 by 50 cm on the floor, and 114 cm tall. Allow a little more around it than that so you can get on and off comfortably.

How does the multi-buy discount work?

It comes off on its own at checkout, with no code to type. Two items anywhere in your basket take 10% off, three take 15%, four take 20%. They do not have to be the same product.

When will it arrive?

Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days and usually arrive within 7–12 business days after that; tracking is emailed as soon as the parcel leaves. If it is not for you, unused items can be returned within 30 days β€” email us first for the return address.
