    How hard you press against it is the intensity control. Ease off the moment it stops feeling good — the nodes do not know how much you weigh.

Before you use it

  • Do not lie your full body weight on it. Lean against it — the pressure should be something you control and can back off instantly.
  • Do not use it while falling asleep. It is mains powered and has no timer to catch you — one of the manufacturer photos shows it being used in bed, and we would not.
  • Keep the nodes off the spine itself, and off the front of the neck.
  • If you have reduced sensitivity to heat, diabetes or circulation problems, ask a healthcare professional before using a heated massager.
  • Stop if the skin reddens or an area is tender the next day, and keep sessions to about fifteen minutes.

Is it too strong?

It can be, if you lie on it. Kneading nodes are firm by design, and the pressure comes from how hard you press against them — which means it is entirely under your control. Put a thin towel between you and the pillow for the first few sessions if you want to take the edge off.

Does it work without heat?

Yes. Heat is a separate button and the kneading runs on its own.

Can I use it in the car?

This version comes with a mains adapter for your region. It does not include a car adapter, so treat it as a device for indoors.

How noisy is it?

There is an audible motor hum — rotating nodes cannot be silent. It is quiet enough to use with the television on and loud enough that you would notice it in a shared room at night.

Is this a medical device?

No. It is a comfort product for tight, tired muscles. It does not treat back or neck conditions, and pain that keeps returning is worth taking to a healthcare professional.
