WHY THIS ONE

Four things worth knowing before you choose a style

The two options in this listing skip very differently, and the right one depends almost entirely on your ceiling height.

A cordless option that still works
Weighted balls on short cords give you the wrist rhythm and the arm work without a rope arc. For a flat with a low ceiling, that is the difference between skipping and not.
Adjustable rope length
Rope length is the single biggest reason skipping feels impossible. The connection at the handle lets you set it to your height in under a minute.
Foam-covered handles
Grooved foam rather than bare plastic, which is what stops a handle turning in a damp hand halfway through a round.
Light enough to move fast
A speed rope is built for turning quickly rather than for weighted conditioning. These handles stay out of the way of the wrists.

HOW TO USE IT

Set. Check. Skip.

  1. 1

    Set your rope length

Stand on the middle of the cord β€” handles should reach roughly to your armpits. On the cordless style, skip this and go straight to the next step.

  2. 2

    Check both connections

Make sure the cord or the ball cord is secure at each handle before you start, every session.

  3. 3

    Start at an easy pace

Clear space around you, low bounces, wrists turning rather than arms. Build up the pace once the rhythm is there.

Follow the supplied adjustment instructions, and keep your workout area clear.

Before you use it

  • Clear the space around and above you before you start, indoors especially.
  • Skip on a forgiving surface where you can. Concrete adds up on ankles, knees and hips.
  • Check the cord and both handle connections before every session and retire a frayed cord.
  • The weighted balls on the cordless style still swing with force β€” keep clear of people, pets and screens.
  • Stop if you feel sharp pain in a knee, ankle or shin, and build up gradually if you are new to skipping or returning after a break.

This is fitness equipment, not a medical device. Skipping is high impact. If you have a knee, ankle, hip, back or heart condition, or you are returning to exercise after a break, talk to a healthcare professional before starting.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

Questions people ask

What is the difference between the two styles?

One is a normal skipping rope with an adjustable cord. The other replaces the rope with two short cords and weighted balls, so you get the arm and wrist rhythm with no rope arc. Pick the cordless one if your ceiling is low or you skip beside furniture.

Can I use the cordless style outdoors?

You can, and it works fine β€” but outdoors is where the corded version has no disadvantage, so most people use the rope there and keep the balls for indoors.

How do I shorten the rope?

At the handle connection: release it, pull the excess cord through, and secure it again. Check the length by standing on the middle of the cord before you consider cutting anything.

Is the rope heavy or light?

Light. This is a speed rope with a PVC-coated steel cord, built for turning fast rather than for weighted conditioning.

Which colour should I choose?

Pink or mint green β€” the difference is cosmetic only, and both styles come in both colours.

How does the multi-buy discount work?

It comes off on its own at checkout, with no code to type. Two items anywhere in your basket take 10% off, three take 15%, four take 20%. They do not have to be the same product.

When will it arrive?

Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days and usually arrive within 7–12 business days after that; tracking is emailed as soon as the parcel leaves. If it is not for you, unused items can be returned within 30 days β€” email us first for the return address.
